My 2D animation senior thesis. I came up with the story, created storyboards, drew the backgrounds, and animated/edited the entire video over the course of two school semesters. This was showcased at the Morris Museum, New Jersey for my college's thesis night.

Synopsis: 

A purple blob moves into a gray polygon town (full of literal squares) where he doesn’t fit in and is bullied for his unique properties. He becomes an outcast, but ends up saving the bullies from certain death by using his special abilities.

Wrote vague storyline 

Wrote detailed storyline 

Made reference sheets and designs 

Created a storyboard on paper 

Drew the storyboard panels into FireAlpaca 4 

Exported the panels into Adobe Animate CC 

Made storyboard animatic using panels 

Exported storyboard panels into Clip Studio Paint Ex 

Created finished/clean backgrounds 

Exported the backgrounds to Adobe Animate CC 

Corrected the timing of the animatic 

Added character animation to each scene 

Add sound effects (downloaded and self recorded) 

Make final touches 

Export to Adobe Media Encoder 

Render animation as an mp4 in 4K 

* Most sound effects were found off of many youtube aesthetic sfx and nature playlists*
